Took a spin around the neighborhood and took some pictures out where the beach is supposed to break through into the march when we get another 100 year storm. There was some wash over in Saturday night?s storm but the tide cycle was off for this storm to have too much of an affect, 11 hours earlier the tide was another foot and a half. I didn?t drive very far down this road as the sand looked deep and I wasn?t walking home to get the truck to pull it out.

Some may wonder where my screen name "Yum-yum" comes from. One of my brothers nicknamed the car after seeing the license plate many years ago and the name stuck. Here is what it looks like today at home in its den. I've been driving it more and more these days, long list of catch up items to be done, all things in due course.

Sunny and low 60's this morning and a few clouds while I was out for a ride. Nice stuff for mid November day in New England and great for a drive.

Great photo & I love the look of your car; the way it sits & the colour.
I recall a similar situation when an articulated truck pulled over into the lane I was in, in my Lotus 7 & I was forced to drive along under his trailer until he became aware of the situation he had caused.
We were in very slow traffic but it was one of the scariest motoring situations that I've ever been in.

Oh he got done for driving without due care

Cheers

Great to see an Elan with evidence of every day use still on it! And doesn't it still look contemporary, as if they were still being sold by dealers now. Wonderful shot.

Hi Pete,

We cannot transfer registration numbers in Ireland at all since 1987. Before that you could transfer a registration from a car that had been scrapped to a car being registered for the first time, and it remained with the car until it was scrapped or exported. That's how I got my registration number. It has no monetary value at all unfortunately.
