Very nice Chris, but what do you mean by Finally registered with number plates?
The car got its MOT on the 8th October and on the same day I went to my local DVLA office to get the car registered in my name and taxed. Unfortunately for me the car was on Irish plates and this seemed to cause the DVLA much confusion as it took them until the end of december to get the log book back, minus tax disc and with the car listed as the wrong model. Finally got the tax and ordered the new number plates and they took until mid January to arrive.
I have managed to drive the car on a couple of brief outings between the rain and snow flurries.
Chris.

I went to work With my elan today as i need to cheer up these days.
The newly balanced wheels fitted With the new xas gave me a brilliant vibration free ride.
It made my day.
Well the mojito i had at lunch helped also...

Being Valentine`s Day, I took her out today and she loved it. It`s been a while since she was fired up in the fresh air and it took a while for her to warm up but soon everything was well lubricated. It took around 3 hours, including a break for lunch, and you should see the damp patch.

Please tell me chaps! Does all of that sound rather rude to you; or is it just me?
Cheers
John

In the Yorkshire Dales. I am lucky to call these parts my neighbourhood, so I have the Elan out on the twisty roads as often as I can. Saturday was a leisurely drive out for lunch with my wife, but yesterday was a spirited stretching of the legs on my own. I did a couple of overtakes which made me feel slightly embarrassed as they were downright hooligan like. It's just way too easy.

You're making me all misty eyed for my time spent in the Suffolk countryside near Felixstowe. Beautiful country, yours, covered with purpose built Lotus roads.

Must have been some time ago, Bud, I have to cross the channel to find those roads now. They have proper petrol too, as you can see.
