Yes, different, Evan. The 26R KO spinner won't screw on the standard hub. The locating pegs for the 26R wheel are on the wheel and fit into corresponding holes in the special hub. It is of course the other way around for the standard wheel and hub.

I worried how the aluminum spinners would fare with blows frpm the KO hammer, but they seem to have stood up well. They seem very strong. I spun out in a race in 2008 and hit a wall, bending a corner badly. (I had to replace the frame.) The spinner contacted the wall, scraping an end, but is otherwise all right.
The 26R spinner is 60% the weight of the original item (190 grams versus 315). Almost half. You can feel the difference just by hefting the spinners in your hand.
