So what does your Elan/Plus2 look like today?
Guys, I've seen Greg's car in person today. It is the finest Lotus Paint I have ever seen! Mine left to go to the same shop right after Greg's arrived. Except for the the new clip, the entire body has now been tissued.

Lee,
Looking really good I bet you can't wait to start using it for summer. Can you tell me what colour it is, it looks like Silver Metalflake roof over Pistachio on my screen, but I'm a bit colour blind and you are probably going to tell me it's yellow
Regards
Alan

Hi Alan,
Yes you are right it is yellow, with the silverflake roof.
I have had no end of problems with the windscreen. Can't get the proper rubber seal etc. so for now i have a temporary seal to do the job (then at least its drivable) until i have sourced the correct rubber with the stainless trim that i have. Also looking for the corner and middle stainless trims.....
Regards

Nice day today for a drive, I had to put the windows back in but the sun was out so it was good. I went inland today and got a couple pictures. The forsythia was out so I thought that would make a good picture. I got one parked on the wrong side of the road at the entrance to a subdivision. Anyway I had gone past a pond but the road I was on was not a good place to get any pictures so I turned down a side street and got to the end and saw this. I stopped as there was a no trespassing sign and I got the message but I also had the camera and thought that I needed a couple pictures. The pond access sucked but still a good photo for the bike guy in me that really isn?t me anymore.

It got to 80 degrees F yesterday, so I decided to take the top off and run the car on the country roads north of the city ( Rt 374) . The noise reduction was huge - I turned around when the odometer got to 100 miles ( wonky gas gauge) as I am still leery of running straight pump gas - could have kept going as the car was returning 29 miles to the gallon -

Winter mod. projects finished at last, modified Triumph Spitfire wide rad with twin fans, dual braking system, Cliveboy's coolant filler-silicone top hose-airbox/filter hose and a pair of homemade driveshafts which I will be fitting when my doughnuts give up the ghost. If the rain holds off I will be trying it out tomorrow.

Do you have any details of your drive shafts that you would share? Did you 'copy' commercially available ones or have you make your own design?

Please start a topic to discuss the CV driveshafts
