Do you only want the owners of cars to post to the registry, or of we see one listed online (in this case for sale), should those be posted also?
I bumped into the car with the serial number one before mine for sale.

If you enter it then it is associated with you unless you let me know. In this case it would be nice if you entered the information, let me know the info on the car and I can add it to the list of cars with ?No Owner?
No Owner is typically cars that have been sold and the new owner hasn?t claimed them.

Thanks. It?s fun to see where the cars are on the map.
As for being in the middle of the ocean, other than Gary being Gary, I randomize the location a bit so all cars in the same city don?t stack on top of each other. The real odd ones are located at 0,0 off the coast of Africa.

Jim, the site looks great! Must have been a ton of work.
When attempting to update my entry, in the model field the select arrow gives me only "Choose", with nothing to choose from. I hadn't seen that bug mentioned in the thread.
Interesting to see that there only two cars shown on the map located in Nevada. Must be all the straight roads.

Select, or reselect, the year first. This is a bug that I?ll get to real-soon-now(tm)
The logic tries to limit the model to what was available in a particular year. When you exit an entry it displays what was selected but doesn?t remember what was selected.

There seems to be two of you! I have two accounts with different usernames but the other details are the same. Which username do you use? I'll delete the other. I have TheVeg and yelotus. My guess is you use TheVeg but please confirm

Can you give me some more details on the car? The chassis number or some other detail so I can find the dups.

It depends.
- In the case of TheVeg, it's obvious it is a duplicate and it's easy to clear up.
- We also have a case where they're are multiple listings because the first owner still has it associated with there account and a new owner has it associated with a new account. In this case, I go and do some magic in the backend and associate the old car with the new owner to keep track of ownership history.
- We've not run across a case where someone is claiming a car with a duplicate number to a car that someone else also claims they own. If/when that happens we'll figure it out.
