If this guy doesn't start making them I'd give consideration to doing a small run.
I have my old chassis sitting under the trees to measure and check, I've got plenty of brass, and clock repair is a little slow at the moment.
I'm not about to steal his business, but if he's not interested it really comes down to, how much would you pay for the hours that would go into it ?
Cheers
Ralph.
I would be interested in one of these, but you would need to establish the pricing as it would be unfair for me to suggest your time/value to produce them. Clearly making a limited run would have it advantages as making a jig would help the production of them. I particularly like the mounting of the frame. If you decide to make these keep me in mind.
Me too......Im interested....depending on price etc

Has anyone got a 3D printer?
I believe you can get them that print metal (or metal like) material and that would probably be the best way to produce a Chassis model at a price point that would be interesting to quite a few folk.
Don't know much about the field but should be fairly straight forward to enter the chassis into a CAD package and then hit the print button. Someone might already have a CAD file with chassis in that could be re-used.

If you read this thread you'll find your questions answered regarding price, (ballpark), and whether or not you could 3D print, ( basically, no, wouldn't work very well.)
