So what does your Elan/Plus2 look like today?
Nick stopped by so that we could get his new Panasport wheels to fit without scraping the control arm bolts and we were half successful and got good clearance on the right but the left side had a failed outer bush and it needs to be dealt with before any more action is taken. Anyway Beau did his greeting thing and nearly climbed in to say hello..
I didn't get out (lucky you ) but I got the new bass bins I built in January playing for the first time. "Fat man in the bathtub" (Little Feet Live with "Towor of Power" horns) was cranked up for a test play. Can't beat it,
There is a Lotus Eleven block on top of the Klipschorn for the Lotus connection
I hope others were able to get out or will soon.

p.s. Dean the target photo was taken at log 21 in Stow Mass at the Collins foundation

Gary,
I am sure that the Climax FWE/FWB block is the precise damping medium for just the right response. But then, you must have a matched pair! LOL

Hi James,
Lots of progress in just one week. Did you get the angle drive leak stopped?

Gary, those K-horns sure bring back memories. Have you done and A-B with and without the Climax block "mpingo discs"? Although my speakers are newer and from Benicia, CA, my speaker weights are older and more complicated, 1918, wood, brass and leather. As in your "all the cars link" picture, the cameras that took that photograph.

And I should add, Foster asked me to move his Elan Sprint into place in the right side of that photo. I fired it up, hard to do since Gordon Morris had adjusted the seat for his rather longer frame. But I realized as the Twink fired up that my neglected 1971 Sprint had to get back on the road, and just 11 years later it has.

I was sand blasting the last 3 days and got a lot done on my projects. Yesterday I blasted through a thin spot so I decided I needed a ride instead of pushing in the new rear bushings that arrived. I went to see Dale and see about a 110 volt mig welder that he had and I used before on Andy's lattice replacement. I was out in the S2 and thought about loading it in beau's seat but I figured I would just get it in the morning. On the way home I stopped and got a picture and then at another friends house to talk and just got back and Dale had been by and dropped off the welder so I guess instead of pushing bushings in. I'll be cutting, grinding and welding. Oh what fun!

I had a 320 mile round trip yesterday to return the S4 to Spyder for a few very minor snags to be sorted and a first service and spannering including adjusting the ride height and fitting the new speedo that came back seized up from the not so very Speedy Cables Ltd. The car went beautifully on the motorways pulling just over 3000rpm for a genuine 80mph (indicated 90mph!), but this only happened accidentally when I was going downhill and my foot slipped officer.
Spyder always have some interesting things to look at, but I was quite taken with the line up of +2 bodies and a solitary Europa just waiting for someone new to love and cherish them.
Regards to all
Alan
