Spotted: 1966 series 2 FHC pretending to be a series 4 DHC

There have been two on the forum:

Coupé 36/5033 LHD registered in France December 1965 and bought by nono17120 in September 2015 (still in France).
Coupé 36/5096 bought by atthelimit of Leicester after many resprays and looking like a Sprint! He intended to convert it back to S3 wings and its original Medici Blue colour.


So I’ve been working on 36/5096 but is slow going, mainly because I’m also restoring my S4 I’ve owned for 45 years. But here’s some progress. Sorry the photos are chronological bottom to top!

Thanks, And so it should, it’s taken me a year but every thing fits, no sticking out bits, all shut lines even and things like bonnet and boot etc fettled to make sure they are flush with bodywork in all planes.
