Elan DHC and burr walnut dashboard

Do what you want with it. My personal rule of thumb is if its nut and bolt reversible then go for it.

It's been 20 years since I chose the veneer, but IIRC its burl walnut.

Burr walnut sounds cold to me. I prefer calling it Burl walnut. But I checked on Google and I guess you can call it what you want.

If you are restoring the car for yourself and you are going to keep it for 20 years pick whatever you want to look at and admire.

If you are going to sell it in 5 years (or your Estate will sell it) go with a stock veneer.

I told the guy to keep it original.so, teak veneer.

I have some English walnut burl I was going to use. Ended up having a new one made. However it is American walnut burl which is darker. I'd part with the English burl if you interested.
