Production cars had rubber mounting for the Webers to avoid float issues from engine vibration. I expect that the need for flexibility in the carb mounting led to the use of those pre-crimped braided Y hoses that were on the production cars.

With respect to the strictly anorak items, what was the correct type of fuel hose for the Webers? Did this change for production to save weight or money, perhaps both?
