Tracing my Elan from the 1980's...

The car still exists as the record below shows. It may have changed hands four years ago, clearly having been laid up since 2002, or at least off the road since then. It is still yellow, too.

I seem to remember that the wipers were never a strong point with the Elan. I think they used to get bit light and lift off the screen at over 90-100 pmh, whilst the whole car got a bit light over 115.
I can't remember what the mileage was when it left me, but I'd be surprised if it was much less than that - suggesting it's not been used much over the last 35 years. Unless it's been around the clock, or had the speedo replaced.

If original the Wipers should be the Wire Type to stop lift.
