Nice bit of topic drift
We have established that Bloodknocks old car is no longer on the road, maybe sitting in a barn or garage waiting to be restored, or perhaps sadly gone to Japan or elsewhere in the world.
We have also established a previously unexplored gaping black hole for discussion regarding wheel arches and vents on S3 & S4 cars.
I vote that Bloodknocks car was a ringer

Hi, I don't know where WWC 689F is now but. I owned her from 1980 or 1981 to 1993. We lived in Birmingham and then Meriden UK.
Wonderful little car and I wish I had kept her.
"Lots of Trouble, Usually Serious" of course.
She was gold leaf colours when I had her with a rusty chassis that needed welding and a cracked inlet manifold that let in air and made her tick over badly. Also the engine mount bracket had cracked due to the engine wobble and needed welding.
Its far as I understood she was an S3. I realised later she had a S4 front end which I see was due to an early crash in 1969? I could see the join!
By the time she left me she was back in all red with gold wheels and I had re built her on a new galvanised Lotus chassis. Engine rebuilt several times. I was always puzzled by the spacer on the timing chain front cover. Now understood BloodKnock - a great engine you built - nothing quicker off the lights other than big Japanese motorbikes!.
Where is she now? I sold her to a dealer in 1993 due to work redundancy and marriage and little baby. Maybe she went over seas or now has a private registration. Anyway that was 28 years ago so maybe she needs another new chassis now.
Best little car I every had - and that included the Caterham with Kent engine I had a few years later.
I will post more photos later.

Well according to DVLA it’s been untaxed since 1993.
No online MOT history either, so either abroad or in a barn.
Regards
Richard
