The blue Plus 2 was for sale at a well known dealer for quite some time.
Thinking of time, it is about time the Plus 2 (the better looking Elan) got it's due.

I think its not so much as how they marketed the car, more the actual car and the audience it was exposed to.
Think what a DHC Sprint with Webers may have achieved or an S1 or S2 with the same pedigree, possibly another $10 - $15K??

I was at the Barrett Jackson site. Crazy money for good and bad cars. 1.9 mil for a 300 SL Gullwing, 700k for that black F40 that they fixed (incorrectly) on that TV show. I wouldn't have taken it for free.

I've been into Mustang Boss 302's for decades. When I would go to view a B2 for sale and the guy would refer to BJ and what they sold for..........well, that isn't life. What that is, are some folks with money, at times drunk, that will let the interest they make from an investment pay for the over bid toy. That is the bottom line.
