I like Tawny Brown! And now look at all the brown/bronze coloured cars about on the roads today.
Yep, let's hear it for those wacky 70s colours!

C?dric the frenchman.
Not sure whether you should use satin black paint or bitumen under-seal (blaxon). I am sure someone here will know...

Is satin black some kind of shiny black? Do you think i could tape to mask and protect the bottom and use a spray can of black paint and do it myself?

It's not gloss & it's not flat - somewhere in the middle. Both Duplicolor & Wurth do it in a spray can.
You could definitely mask it yourself & use an Aerosol / spray can.

Here's a link to Wurth trim paint in Satin Black - http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/smart/more_info.cgi?pn=WRTH-089099000U&catalog_description=Flexi-Trim%20Satin%20Black%20Paint%20-%2015%20o%2Ez%2E
Wurth is a german company so you should be able to find it in France.

I would have no hesitation to use Blackson C?dric, best applied by spray though, I think the cans and the spraygun are available in France but not cheap though http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Schutz-Spray- ... 0450211962

Satin paint is easy to apply with a brush, no need for fancy equipment, just a roll of masking tape.

Salut Pistacchio
Yes, nice looking car and wife - I'm lucky enough to have both, too!
If you paint the sills I'd avoid Blaxon or other bitumen type finishes - it's ugly because it's not meant to be seen.
Your sills look so nicely finished that's it's not worth the bother IMHO - they don't look good when they're ragged.
