No. 4 Tingling sensation
Happens all over when you get out after a drive & lasts for quite a few minutes after.
I's magic 'innit
(There is no No. 3)
Welcome to the Forum; seems like you're in the right place!

Hello Boys!
All this male banter, are there no other girls on this forum?
There must be some other girl owners or at least girlfriends of Elan owners, do any of them ever get to drive the Elans?
What did Simon do to his last Elan?
Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome.
Question
Do all Elan lights wobble a bit when up?
or do I need to get these checked?

No kidding, I thought I had logged onto one of the Elise rant sites by accident! Welcome aboard Bonney. We do try to stay on topic although there are a few lightning rod topics. Right Beau?

Bonny,
Yes, welcome to the club. Enjoy driving your Elan, and consider making it your daily driver. With a good mechanic and regular maintenance, it will be as reliable as the every day sedan, and your commute will be more enjoyable.
There are other lady Elan enthusiasts. My ex-wife was the one who selected the Elan and she enjoyed driving it. My girl friend just loved the car also. In the '70s, I worked with a lady who owned an Elan and commuted to work in it. Quite a sight, 2 Elans in one parking lot!
So there may not be very many, but then there are not very many Elans either.

Hi Bonney
If you can forgive the slightly lecherous comments you'll realise from their enthusiasm that there aren't many lady posters on these boards.. There are a couple who post occasionally, Anna from Germany being the most regular.
Regarding your question about avatars, this function was disabled a few years ago so it is no longer possible to add one. Not sure why mine still works, only that I added it when the function was enabled.
No reason why you can't add a picture as part of your signature however..
Congratulations on your purchase,
Robbie

Hi Bonney and welcome.
Apart from the odd misogynist / Benny Hill devotee we are a pretty well balanced group who, in the main, talk about things Elan. As Robbie says, there are only a few girls on the forum, one of whom rallies her Elan in Africa and India and other far flung places! Anna in Germany usually shows most of us up with her knowledge of engineering and the detail of her S2, about which she is very passionate. I bought a S4 dhc from one of the few other girls, who loved it to bits, but it was the car or the horse?and the horse won.
Yes, the headlights do wobble when driving. They are only held up by a vacuum system, and the weight of the lights and the pods give that slightly worrying tremor when going along at night?but you get used to it.
If you don?t know the car well, it would be worth taking it along to Paul Matty to get it all checked over. If it hasn?t been used much, things like the brakes may need a bit of servicing, or at least looking at to make sure that there are no big issues about to happen. He provides an excellent service, and won?t rip you off. Once the car is right, an annual visit would be very worthwhile.
If you?re a member of Club Lotus, I guess you know about the meeting at Donnington? It should be a good one this year, and worth attending?and just up the road for you.
An S3 in French Blue is one of the nicest combinations for me. Do get some pictures on the site when you can!

Hi Bonney
Welcome to Elans. It really is a great forum. I just followed the thread and it made me smile. Leslie sounds like he may be Mr Leslie Philips. Carry on sort of films and all that came to mind.
Sorry Les, couldn't resist
Mike
There are some great guys on here with lots of good advice. Every week we learn more about our Elans. Some very Subtle things make a big difference.

I've heard of Physic gardens or a Physic approach to healing, but never heard of anybody being physic! But we live and learn.
Are you sure your not phychic?
