I started on my Elan restoration project without ever even sitting in one once! I started the project as I always wanted to restore a car. Of course after it was finally all together I was smitten. What fun, lovely lithe cars they are. See here for a few pics http://mysite.verizon.net/res6wtdv/

I did all but rebuild the engine and the upholstry myself in my garage.
