There have been a couple of Elan vacuum tanks for sale on ebay over the past year or so..
Usually detailed as being for the +2.
Not sure whether they were for people who had failing integral tanks.
Cheers

I believe Spyder chassis's have a seperate vac tank (althought I could be wrong ?)
and these are the ones that come up on ebay or for sale.
I doubt Lotus would supply an after market vac tank given there policy of "replace the chassis" even for a small accident.
If the vac tank were leaking the chances are that it would be due to corrosion, that would mean a chassis replacement and before someone tells me the chassis can be repaired .....I know as I've done it myself.

Spyder chassis have the vacuum tank in the front cross member like Lotus. May be they sold a replacement vacuum tank if the front cross member in the Lotus chassis developed a leak as many did.

My 73 plus 2 came with a small round vacuum tank (not fitted) in the spares I got with the car. It also had the standard front cross member tank so I dont know if this spare tank was original or where it was used.
