Look again at the back end of that blue Elan guys, then check the shots from Geneva 1964.
Btw, some fastback Elan shots over in the gallery; and a conundrum re the "one-off" IWR Coupe!!!
When you've all stopped guessing I'll tell you what I think.
Pete.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT BLUE ELAN COUPE PICTURED ABOVE WITH THE WHITE CH OVAL?
Jiminy, what year Elan do you own that you're thinking about chopping into a fastback?
i dont actually own an elan, but i like the plus 2, i saw a pic of the frua elan (not the blue car) and wondered if it was possible to do something similar to that or a shapecraft as i have loved fastbacks since seeing a fastback mustang

Mark,
The back end is not the same as the Frua, which has a window that comes right down to the deck, whereas the blue "mini Gordon Keeble" has a much shorter rear window and more rounded rear.

I may be mistaken but I think it's probably the 'creation' (Frankenstein?) from that TV show that was on C4 or 5 a couple of years ago where they took a Europa and made it amphibious. Wonder if they're taking orders for them.

You have me foxed by your blue fastback. There is a black and white photo of the car in the C&SC Mar 92 edition, but it is attributed to Ian Walker, who seems to have made some road going fastbacks as well as his better known racing fastbacks.
You clearly know that it is not an Ian Walker creation and it is clearly not the Frua or a Shapecraft. Not a Harry Radford conversion by any chance?

OK, I give up...I'm not going through every edition of Classic Car since Oct '73 to try and find it!
On closer inspection, the Frua side aiir vents and wrap-around rear bumper cues have been used, but the doors and wheels are std...makes me think that it wasn't a big design house.
That front end looks so GK though......Hmmmm
