Total RIP OFF P&P by SOME suppliers

PostPost by: Hamish Coutts » Thu Oct 26, 2006 11:30 am

Paul Mattys and Sue Miller get most of my business (I go to TTR occasionally).

I used to use SJ sportscars but the guy there was a bit 'but mouthed'. I don't like being sworn at by complete strangers. He was also a tad expensive as you guys have demonstrated.

Hamish.

The original purpose of this thread was a dissatisfaction with the carriage price charged by a certain company. I frequently send items worldwide and lets not beat about the bush, the quote was profiteering.
What is interesting is the can of worms that this thread has uncovered - namely the dissatisfaction of customers of this company with the foulmouthed, arrogance of one of the front men, maybe the owner.
I have been in retail of one sort or another for over 35 years and it still amazes me how some people stay in business.
We should all recommend suppliers who go the full nine yards and warn other punters of the not so goods. The power of the internet!

Chris

You are so right in your reply, I started this thread (admittedly in a fit of temper really) BUT it really has (I think) provoked some great banter and hopefully useful information for many ElanWeb users and hence parts purchasers.

We have shared purchase experiences both good and bad and some suppliers have been festooned with glory while 'others' have not faired so well, at least we have aired our views to the internet world.

If the company in question gets less trade because of bad language, poor customer relations OR excessive P&P charges then POWER to the ELANWEB I say.

Thanks to all and please keep up the fantastic support and correspondence

Cheers to all
