Elan +2 Misfire when hot

:D
After the best part of the day (Thurs) problems resolved. The previous owner was using his local garage to maintain the +2 and when I eventually got in to the points everything was loose inside the dizzy, rotor arm was showing wear marks from the central contact all over the bakelite. Added to this all the wiring was patched up and taped so that got replaced, the condensor was flapping about and loosely fastened so replaced as well. Finished all this at about 10.30 pm and started it up and it was almost as bad but quite pretty to look at! The light show under the bonnet with HT leads shorting out all over the place. Modified the carbon leads off my spartan by 11.00pm and everythying fired up brilliantly. Decided to treat myself to an evening drive (can anybody tell me where I can buy that well known elan accessory NIGHT VISION GOGGLES!) CAR RAN BRILLIANTLY THOUGH DEFINITELY WORTH THE AGGRO. tHE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE CAR HAS DECIDED TO WINK AT ONCOMING VEHICLES . WHENEVER I USE MY RIGHT FOOT "ENTHUSIASTICALLY" THE NEARSIDE HEADLAMP DROPS AND THEN POPS STRAIGHT BACK UP WHEN THROTTLE PRESSURE EASED. I GUESS MY WEEKEND IS NOW MAPPED OUT CHECKING/REPLACING VAC HOSES AND JUBILEE CLIPS.
SERIOUSLY THOUGH THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP ADVICE AND SUPPORT OVER THE PAST WEEK. :)
