S2 Door surround boards

For the original door surround boards - would these alloy popp riveted connecting plates be original? The cut outs (plus wire/safety belt fixing) in the board remainings (the other part is in the car) look very professional

I don’t think so, looks to me like it’s had water damage and someone has popped on some alloy bits to replace the damaged bits but as it’s a Lotus who knows ? …….cover it with vinyl and no one will be wiser !

Just as a note, you have just jogged my memory as my car came with no door surrounds, years ago I remember now borrowing some original one's from a friend’s S1 and copying for my S2 ……there were a one piece construction.

Delving deep in my memory now, as I recall now the front part of the door surround did have an additional bit added on, it was set back to give a little more space for the accerator pedal foot.
I think there was a thread about it years ago probably from Gary who unfortunately no longer posts.
