Nice summary. A few errors, but mostly correct.

Not bad but not good either. Errors and ommissions around much of the detail on the history and design changes over time are to be expected with this sort of relatively short article. Looks like a summary after quickly scanning a few previous books

Rohan's last sentence sums this up perfectly. Nothing new to see here and certainly not enough to be useful as a buyer's guide.

That guy is 100% correct. It’s obvious of course that Chapman got his inspiration from Hitlers mate who designed a car with the engine in the wrong position. What a load of crap that article is.

Is it directed at Hagerty crowd, or simply a general.

I remember sometime ago reading a generic Lotus Elan article on MSN/microsoft news
I spotted a couple of bits from an article I had written and they had definitely been looking at Tim's Elan Sprint website.
I fear this is the way things are going. People putting together a collection of facts they don't really understand and portraying themselves as knowledgeable. YouTube and TikTok are full of them.

Interesting read, but as others have said, not a buyer's guide.

Reminds me of those gushy adverts on BaT that look like reams of useful text, but when you read them they are blabbering on about how Chapman created a superlative sports car yadda yadda ya COME ON TELL ME ABOUT THE DAMNED CAR YOU'RE TRYING TO SELL ALREADY!

You know what I mean?

I believe some sellers are now using ChatGPT to produce the verbage used along with their advert.

It has become quite noticeable on eBay were the description accompanying some adverts has the 'ChatGPT feel' about it.

The way of the future, I am afraid.

That second photo, of the front of the red S2, the lower edge of the bumper above the radiator opening doesn’t look right to my eyes.
