French Blues

Hi all, does anyone know if the Lotus French Blue is the same as the Triumph French Blue as used on Stags and GT6s of the same period. I want to paint my car but the Lotus colour looks a little dark in some lights and in pictures the triumph one a touch lighter. Anyone have any knowledge.
Yes I know some purist won’t like it but as it’s probably the last nut and bolt I’ll do I going to have it my way and others can argue about it when I’m gone.

LO2 French Blue was indeed a Triumph colour. It was available from mid 1967 to October 1970.

Blue Elan threads below. I chose a modern colour, Ford grabber blue, which is similar to french blue.

I used to have a blue Elan, an S4 SE FHC. I would have called it royal blue but some people on line have called similar cars French blue. I had always considered French blue to be a light blue, but then I found this colour chart a while ago which threw me somewhat. Either way the Elan looks great in blue

I think the more ‘royal’ darker shade is French *racing* blue, as opposed to lighter shades that may have some other French relevance.
