Lotus Elan lighted ashtray

I saw this ebay listing for two NOS Lotus Elan ashtrays that have a bulb to light the inside. I've
not ever heard of something like this. I can see this being a viable thing as 60s and early 70s cars
had fairly dark dashboards and driving at night, smoking, you'd want to put your cig in the correct
spot. Is this a +2 thing? Factory installed?

Yep, +2S but not pre-S, in the doors for sure, not sure about dashboard.
