CVT 575H - long shot, any info?

Hi. This is my first post on here after being pointed in this direction from the elan owners Facebook page.

Now I know this is a long shot but I'll ask anyway. But would anybody happen to have any info with regards to a yellow lotus elan, reg CVT 575H. I'm fairly sure it is more than likely to have been scrapped, as it hasn't been taxed since 1988. Although after asking on Facebook, I was told that it being exported was another possibility.
It was my dad's car, as can be seen in the picture below. He owned in when he was 21, almost 50 years ago. It was the second elan he had owned but always says how much he loved it.
I'm not holding out much hope, but any info would be great.

Don't give up hope. I bought my car last year which had not been taxed since 1987.
