Dec.20, 1963 - My Elan, 26/0538, conception day

Hi All

56 years ago this December I received confirmation from the factory that my deposit for my car was received and that it was going into production. It was shipped from the factory mid March and arrived in Vancouver by freighter through the panama canal in early may 1964.

More than 2 generations later I have never found a more satisfying drive.I purchased it for hill climbing competition originally and could never find a better driver since!

I often wonder how many original long time owners are out there ?

No rain in Lotus Land today so a drive in my 1963 Christmas present is in order.

MERRY CHRISTMAS !! --- And keep your stick down !

You're part of an elite group, I'm sure. Great story and I'm sure you could write a book
chronicling your ownership.

Another member of the original owner group but you have 6 years on me. I'm only at 50+ years.

Also an original owner here. Purchased in February, 1966 from Tom O'Brien Sports Cars in New Jersey. With about 500 miles (and the first service) completed, I drove her from New Jersey to California. In the first month of ownership, I had about 4,000 miles on the odo.

Merry Xmas to you Bill & a happy New Year. I have had my S4 from new in 69, purchased as a kit in the UK, shipped it to the USA in 70 & then to Canada when I came here in 71. I visited you a few years ago whilst we were visiting friends on Vancouver island. I hope you are keeping well & we may be back this coming summer & will try to stop by if we can.
Cheers,
Keith
