I have a creazy ide. Would it be possible to mix a Lotus Europa Chassis with an Elan Body?
I Like the ide of the centermotor, but i dislike the looks of the rear end of the Europa.
I know its silly, but there is snow all over
And i wondered if any of you have heard of such a projekt??
All the best
Otto

No Ed, Otto is a Viking. They travelled south to invade northern France and became the Normans. They in turn invaded England and became the English, who colonised America and booted the French out of Canada.
I think that's how it went...so it may be you who is French, or Dane, or English or something.....hey, we're all the same really...except the French.

Hi Otto
The later Europa's with the cut down rear butress look pretty good. I secretly hanker after one of those, but will have to wait for the excuse that the kids are too big for the back of the +2. Alternatively, why not think for a while then chop the rear of an early (or late even) car around and see if you like what you end up with. It is fibreglass you know!

Zetec+ 2 under const, also 130S. And another 130S for complete restoration. Previously Racing green +2s with green tints. Yellow +2 and a couple of others, all missed. Great to be back 04/11/2021 although its all starting to get a bit out of control.

Thanks for the laugh!
The thing started because my Wikingfriend, Niels, saw An Europaframe with engine and all for aprox 2200 ?
And then, severel Carlsbergs and Urquells later, this came up.
Happy new year!

...aha, the Urquell explains it. OK, I'll do a six pack and then measure the distance from the center of the rear wheels to the back of the front seats in the +2, round midnight tonight and check #s again tomorrow, afternoon. I'm guessing if one could do this conversion, the driver cannot be over 5'7". Any Europa owners out there? We need a measurement please... A Safe and Happy New Year To All !
