I have been logging in and out of this site for quite a while now asking the odd question checking out the for sale section and searching the archive, so it's about time I posted up a couple of pics of my Elan Sprint (if I can make it happen)
any comments gratefully accepted including whether the lower sills need to be black
Cheers

Hi Dave welcome

Maybe you have seen this topic, It may answer the sill color question for you or tell you that the folks on this forum just seem ready to pick up on any minute difference in originality and beat it to death.

No problem, I'm sure it will sit comfortably enough in Elans!
Unfortunately I can not see your photos - I just get that little red cross in the top left hand corner. Not a problem I've had before. I must be coming out with something.
Yes, the bottom of the sills should be black if you wish to replicate the original factory look. More on my site below.

It is your decision is you paint the sills black, the car looks good but I would just like to ask how the bonnet is secured as I cannot see any bonnet catches......unless the fitting just below the top front grill is some sort of catch?

Thankyou Tim
I have seen your web site before, it's brilliant. These images are about 18 months old now so a few improvements have been made to the car in the meantime, the sills will be painted black over the winter.

Hi Brian
there is a key lock in the centre of the bonnet just below the windscreen fitted when I bought the car, when I get round to doing some work on the body I will revert to standard.
Cheers
