Happens!
We have seen a few pictures of elans that have been compromised in a expensive way on this forum. Most are fixed either by the current owner or they move on to other or are parted out or become race cars. The first picture is an article that was posted on the Yahoo group in 1993. This is good thing to read if you haven't seen it before.
There are some photos that I have on the hard drive, I searched for *crash* and it came up with a page plus of stuff, here are a few of them. No clue on who's Elans or photos on most. Please post your own, I am sure that there are a few people that
have saved reminders of expensive mistakes or just bad days that they would like to forget but can't.
Post em and get them off your chest.
Should be interesting

That last pic was taken on my driveway and was a car I had for a very shortwhile. It went to France to be restored and I seem to recall speaking to someone at a show a few years back that confirmed it had indeed been put back on the road (great news!).
Someone from Club lotus france should be able to confirm.
