Lotus Factory Documentation

PostPost by: SportsCarDigest » Mon Jul 11, 2011 12:54 pm

I am interested in researching the history of my Elan Coupe as delivered from the factory. Can anyone provide a phone number, email address or website that I can contact at Lotus that will provide the proper documentation?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome

see

Lotus Historian - Andy Graham

As of September 22, 2009

[email protected]

I posted this info a year and a half ago. it was on the front page all of that time but the stainless steel letters and other good stuff have put it on page two. So after 489 views I will delete it and add this one until it slips from view again.

If you post some info here some people may be able to help also.

SCD

Welcome and I have to ask if you have a connection to the on-line magazine of the same name and to which I subscribe?

Andy Graham is definitely the correct person to contact at the factory as P-A says. I have also been compiling information on all Elans and if you let me have your car's Unit number I shall be able to see what, if anything, we might already have. You can PM or email me. You may not get a great deal of information from the factory. The Lotus of the 1960s was notoriously poor at record keeping, as we are now finding out!

Generally how long does it take for Andy to reply? I sent him an email in March or April about my car and never heard anything back from him. Thanks.

Welcome. Andy is almost always most responsive. Perhaps your message ended in his spam filter. If you have a Gmail or Hotmail account it should get through. If you still have a problem send me a PM and we will see if we can sort it out from this end.

Andy has replied to me last week, in fact a couple of times with some info about my car. Considering how helpful he's been to me, I can't imagine he's deliberately ignoring you, so are you sure your original request got through and he actually received it ?

I used to have problems occasionally with my email being blocked, or rather the ISP (tesco.com) being blacklisted for some reason or other by AOL. When contacting Andy I used my glmail.com account, which got through no problem.

Hello Brian,
Thanks for the tip. I'll try sending it from my work email and see if he gets it.

Thanks for the tips. I finally got around to it and emailed Andy from work and he got right back with me.
