Who has my car?

I was only thinking yesterday about where my car had gone to. I sold it to PM 2 years ago when I got an Elise S2. I was going to ask on here.I looked on Pistonheads, this morning, and there it was. Wherever it has been someone has continued to love it.
Was it anybody on here?

Non standard paint, chassis and Strombergs are not affecting value. Up the Strombergs!
PS Anybody looking for a really nice Ardent red Toyota Elise S with low miles?

Not Me Mike ,
But I wish I had , when we all had the chance on here a couple of years ago !
The Car is so good ... it doesn`t surprise me now the price ... and I actually like the Strombergs too ... but I suspect if it was a Sprint Drophead , Mr M` would probably be asking around ?35K ... as the Car is that good !
The restoration was a credit to you Mike ,
See You Soon ,
Paul .

Strangely enough I was looking at the cars for sale on PM's site just yesterday.
He has some juicy machinery there but the prices match.
Anyway it goes to show how much can be asked for a perfectly restored Elan S4.
Mike it must be pleasing for you to know that "your" car has been so well looked after since you parted with it.
Paul, you should have snapped it up when you had the chance
Cheers

Looks a nice car and it illustrates how difficult it is to value an Elan.
There is such a wide variation in the prices of Elans advertised for sale but equally there is a huge difference in the condition of the cars.
I think I have mine seriously undervalued from an "agreed value" point of view.
I suppose you have to ask yourself the question, How much would I need to replace my car with one in as good condition and then hope the insurers will agree.

Yes. Lovely car and I think fairly priced when you look at resto' costs and the shortage of good cars on the market. If it were mine I would be looking for agreed value at around the 35k mark. Try and replace it with a similarly well restored one. You will have difficulty.
I have agreed value of 32.5 k on my car and it will be going up this year. Its a bit of a hassle at times (esp' when they loose your file!) but essential to do IMHO... You gotta do it!
Have fun now. Saw a few classics out on the road yesterday.Including... 3 Morgans!!. 2 spitfires. A ford Cortina super Mk 1. Couple of mini's. A Mogie. Triumph herald DHC.. and a few oldies...Brill..

Thanks for the compliments. It is good that it has been kept so well.
I changed my picture at last, time to move on. Thought the Plus 2S should have ago seeing as it is getting near to being back in one piece.
It is a great hobby with the tinkering, research, friends and the driving.
ps Insurance value is an import point.
