Independent Inspection Recommendation

Hi everyone. I'm looking at getting an independent inspection done on a S2 from UK Sportscars in Kent.
This is the car . . .

We haven't negotiated a price yet, but they have offered to do a LHD conversion. Is anyone familiar with their work?
Can anyone please recommend a very thorough, expert (hopefully someone who really knows their Elans) inspection? I live in Canada so I need someone I can trust to help me make a very major decision.
Please PM me if you prefer.
Thanks for your help,
Todd

erm......if I remember there was quite a discussion about UK sportscars a while back.....
and IIRC most of it wasnt on the positive......
I asked them a while back if theyd be interested in my car.....it turns out that their stock is not owned by them......theyre just 'holding' agents......basically you give them your car...they advertise it....sell it and take their pound of flesh......
or at least thats all they said they do when I asked in about april/may time this year.......and I said no......why should it sit with them over a 'summer'....

Commonly called selling on consignment, quite normal in the classic car trade.

Matty will sell your car on consignment if you ask him nicely. Of course, I have no idea what his terms would be.

Just a word of warning to anyone considering selling a car like this if they are selling on your behalf the money is paid to them if the go bust your money is gone so is your car this happened to several people when a well known TVR dealer went bust a few years ago.

Very good advice, Ian.
I have to admit that that sort of potential problem had not crossed my mind.
