Since we are off topic... here is a piece of useless information. Eclat, or Eklat as it would be spelled in Tr?ndersk (a norwegian dialect) means disgusting. It is pronounced the same. I am not saying there is any connection here, but your post got me thinking....
PS I have nothing against Eklats, it is just a funny name for a small tribe in the midst of Norway. Kind of like when Honda decided to rename their "Fitta" to "Fit" in the rest of the world and to "Jazz" in Norway..... I am gonna let you google that one .

I am certain Eclat had an auto option. It appears that the high trim level car had auto, A/C, and possible power steering. Not certain of the power steering. All I ever saw had a disintegrating interior. Must have been made of poor quality materials.

The Eclat SA was an auto. It may have been the Excel by the time the SA was produced.
