Part suppliers (UK)

What part suppliers do people use to get parts for the Elan in the UK?
I have a few little jobs to do on the new Sprint, the most pressing of which is replacing the oil seal on the dear diff (prop side). I've searched here and hit Google hard, but the only thread I can find is this one which contain some numbers, but nothing on suppliers: elan-archive-f16/differential-oil-seal-t6111.html
Does anybody have a list of all the suppliers they use for various bits they'd mind sharing? I generally build up a list for each car, but this is our first Elan and it's proving quite hard just to get started with part numbers, let alone suppliers!
Cheers,
Dave

I use Sue Miller in Suffolk and Paul Matty in the midlands. Between them they have just about all you'll need.

I always try Sue Miller first http://www.mickmillerlotus.com/intro.html - she is always very helpful stocks most things you need. Recently I needed some carpet pieces for my Sprint [but not the whole set] and she kindly cut a selected set for me, which was obviously cheaper than buying a whole set.
It is worth asking her to send you her latest parts price list

Re parts numbers. If you do not already have them, do get an Owners Manual and the Parts List. I reiterate the posts above. Susan Miller as first port of call. If she does not have the part she will probably know who has.

Thanks all, have asked Sue for a catalogue to get me going.
Tim - I have the owners manual, a PDF of the workshop manual and I'm waiting on a copy of Brian Buckland's Manual. I've never heard of the Parts List until you just mentioned it. Any pointers on where I can get my mitts on a copy please?
I've just found this http://www.rdent.com/manuals/index.html from pointed to from here elan-f15/line-parts-list-enterprises-t16045.html is that good enough?
I prefer paper copies though - I generally end up getting oily fingerprints on the laptop and/or iPhone in the garage.
Cheers!

Dave,
You will be able to buy a service parts list from Paul Matty's-speak to Roy in the parts dept. The book is a large loose leaf/ring binder published by Lotus. it shows breakdown pictures of everything along with part numbers and applicability to each model. Excellent book to have-you could build a car from scratch just armed with it. (Consider it an adult version of an airfix kit instruction sheet)
Good luck and kind regards

You should also be aware that Miles Wilkins supplies spares too. In fact his are all approved Lotus spares as he is the authorised dealer. You do need to call Miles as he does not do internet/email. But then you wouldn't get the full Miles effect through an email
Once you get talking to all the guys and gals at the various outlets you'll realise that they all share bits/suppliers anyway. As was the case at the beginning of the year no rear discs at one of them meant non of them had any! You'll also find they are all very fair- Spyder was sorting my hubs and I needed new axles from Kelvedon instead of getting them in and adding 10% they called me so I could arrange direct payment with Pat.
Personally I spread the parts around all of them. The more we keep in business the better. Plus it's fun to turn up to Miles's place with more Spyder bits on the car!!

And then you also have the shared parts (mini, Ford and Triumph):
http://www.minispares.com/

http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/

There are also others in the Business section on this forum.
There was also PDF files posted on this forum for Manuals and Parts lists for the different Elans, but they take a bit of searching for; if you have a few spare hours.
