I have updated the Elan Registry Identification Guide and included some pictures from the registry to illustrate the various models. There are not pictures of all the models and I need some help.
If you have a picture that illustrates the unique features for a particular model and want it in the spotters guide, please send it to me. [email protected]
Thank you,

Hi Jim,
Here's one of mine (late '72 S/130 4 speed). The shift gaitor isn't standard so not sure if it's of use, let me know if you need a higher resolution and I'll mail it to you.
One thing I have noticed is, in the model differences, there is no mention of the fuse box cover on the late models which replaced the the ash tray in the earlier +2s and early S/130.
I'll be adding mine soon. Great register!
Robbie

Here are some Photos of my S4SE DHC showing the Rear Lights, Stainless Steel SE side trim & SE repeater light positioning.
NB The repeater lights are close to but not original.
Obviously the large Exhaust Tail Pipe is not original but from TTR

I really like the blue. I need to get myself a couple more cars so I can have all the colors. This will be posted later today. Thank you!

Thank you everyone! I have pictures for just about all the major variants. I need to sift through what had been sent and see what's missing.
Stay tuned.

Jim, thank you. Not sure if it's relevant, but the colour is Wedgewood Blue, correct for the model and year (but not original to my car), and it was one of three blues available at the time if you don't count the Medici blue, which was only used on the motorshow car.
Alex, I've mentioned it before, but I really like your car. It's my favourite Sprint combination.

Thanks Adi, I do agree, I have always loved a blue metalic and that color really does it for me too. My Honda ST 1100 is almost the same color, Looks superb in it also... Having said that I have a soft spot for the color on your car. You said not original? What was the car's original color? Great looking car,and I would love to (& hope to) see it sometime.
Hi everyone!!
Hey John, That's one cool car with attitude mate! spot on. I want a closer look. I see you have the ali trim holding the hood cover on the outside. Nicely polished by the looks. Got me thinking as I like that as a detail. I polished the one on my car too but then hid it under the cover. Real shame.
Your detail there looks very neat.
Magic...

Alex, my car was originally yellow (as so many of S3 FHCs seem to be) but for the past 20 years it was red with black wheels and gold bumpers. When I bought it, it was in need of a full respray, so I spent a month thinking about it. I wanted blue, and I wanted it to be a period Lotus colour, so my choices were pretty narrow. I really love it though, and it looks much better in person too! The spinners are letting it down at the moment, but new chrome is coming after the holidays.
