my neighbour has an MGB and convinced me to attend an M.G. car club show at Queenston today .Now I don't usually go these things as I would rather be mobile than parked in a field or park ---but what he hell --so I went So we arrive and the M.GB. gets directed to the M.G. area up front and visible and the elan gets shuffled WAAAAYYY over there with that Volvo and the sunbeam tiger . so it cost me 5 bucks to see 100 M.G.B s 2 TD s and a sprite WHAT A THRILL-I have come to the conclusion that MGBs are like ass holes ---EVERY BODY HAS ONE --so after 1 hour of comparing water pump fan colours we left for our club cookout where Morgans and woolslys and triumphs [and of course 50 M.G.B.s ] party .There were not even a few high breasted bed thrashers for the bird watchers too break the monotony at the MG club only meet -----just 60 plus old grannies in sweat shirts and big gardening hats ---even the squirrels wanted these guys out of their park - however the elan and the Tiger generated the most interest --and ran a treat---going for a nap NOW ----ed

If MG's are like assholes, then I'm headed on a drive down to the Keys tomorrow morning with about 20 assholes... :D Lunch at the Islamorada Fish Company with the Miami British Car Club and back to up Miami. I'm always the lone Lotus. Last trip of the summer as it gets too hot until September.

This has nothing to do with MGBs. I am interested in the headlight and bumper arrangement on your Elan. I just got an Elan S1/2 in baskets, it has been a racer for at least thirty years but NOT a 26R (just to be clear) and really like the way your car looks. Is that your own design or some sort of aftermarket or factory modification? I was also wondering if anyone knew where to look for the 26R style of headlight setup?

Thanks.
