From the article: : ".....while cars sold for export had concealed headlights, just like the regular Elan."
I am aware of an export (US) 26R that fits this statement, but is this true? I know it's impossible to verify. Anyone know of an S2 version with concealed lights?

Hi Christian,
My questions are legitmate, I am seeking real information, as opposed to "facts' conjured up to suit a situation.
I've not seen an S2 with retractable lights, was wondering if anyone else had.

Hi All
Is the article in the July 2009 issue?
My 26R was originally supplied to Duchess Autos in New York and was supplied with pop up lights and driven by Peter Pulver at Nassau and the 65 Sebring 12hrs.

Ed, can I ride in your passenger seat for this one?
I read a review about a "new" biography of Napoleon the other day; great to know it's not just in Lotusworld where "factual history" is still being written.
Cheers,
Pete.

Seems like a good time to post pics from last weekend's Wine Country Classis @ Infineon Raceway, Sonoma CA.
The gold 26R is the ex-Jimmy Clark car "Gold Bug" and just rebuilt. The owner is from LA. Finished 1st overall. Good for 200 hp or so I was told..The interior shots are from the "Gold Bug".
The blue one is 26R-31(6?) according to the chassis plate. Cosworth built TC.
