Has a five way Lotus test. All the cars are reported to by around 700kg and trend setters in their day:

1. Elite (original)
2. Elan Sprint DHC.
3. S1 Elise.
4. 340R.
5. 2-Eleven (normally aspirated)

The Elan, Elise and 340R all get 5 stars. I think the 2-Eleven get 4.5 and the Elite 4... but that's just from memory.

Ha ha,

E-mail already sent to Santa. I expect to see it in the Red Cross parcel from GB for Christmas.
Will be better than watching all of the stunning TV from BBC & ITV.
I'll be doing enough repeats myself after Christmas dinner.
I've just got the Sprouts on but am I too late??
:D :D :D

Cheers
John

PS Mk 14 Elite 4th?
Think I'll be contacting the Editor

Don't you fret, John. I expect that the editor is some spotty kid who thinks that Coventry Climax is some old slapper in the midlands, and a fibreglass monocoque is something you get after too much amyl nitrate.

The editor owns the Elan. The amyl nitrate I'm not sure about.

And a Pagani Zonda and a very large house not far from me in the Cotswolds, last time I checked. He's far from being a spotty kid!

Nice to see you on the forum, Mr Simister - I was pleased to see from 'Octane' that you've joined the ranks of Elan ownership!

Ooops, already done.
Never mind, send the man across; there's a little place around the corner where he can stay for a few years :D

No Treadington's up at the top of the Cotswolds, near Stratford on Avon. I'm down in the South West of the Cotswolds - near a village called Stinchcombe, though I work in Tewkesbury, which is a bit closer to Treadington.

Harry Metcalfe (Elan-owning Editor of Evo Magazine) is over near a town called Burford, further East, over toward Oxford.

Bear in mind that this is England we're talking about - we're not a very big island, you know!

One end of the Cotswolds to the other takes about an hour by Elan... :D
