Mark,
What a magnificant car! Thanks so much for letting us see it. I do have a few questions/comments and one suggestion.
The engine appears to be leaning to the left slightly. Is that normal? I know there are different types of motor mounts to accomodate Webers vs. Strombergs. Perhaps you have the correct mounts and that's the way it's supposed to be.
It appears that you have a Lucas alternator. I assume that this is an upgrade. If so, did you leave the voltage regulator for show?
Your doors appear to fit better than most. Did you modify them so the lower rear corner would be flush with the body?
Is that blue the same shade that Lotus used and if so, do the photos make the shade appear lighter, darker, or just right?
Do you experience a slight delay when you hit the horn? If so, try relocating the compressor or the horns in order to minimize the length of tubing between the compressor and the horns. The less air in the tube for the compressor to compress, the sooner the horns go off.
Finally, that is a lovely street you live on!

Yes it is and how they came out of the factory.

Big radiator, little radiator, big radiator, little radiator!
Great looking Sprint, well done. All that hard work over the last 4 years has certainly paid off. As a matter of interest, will you paint the bodywork seam below the door-line black, per original?

Car was painted in '93 (prevous owner) by fibreglass 2000 in Southport. One guy was (is ) Bill I believe, the other guy is Gerald (who is doing my S4 body for me. Doors were I believe cut to fit properley. The shots outdoors are the correct colour, the ones of the engine in my garage make it look a little lighter. No problems with horns...
Yes I intended to get the bottom of the sills done, and yes big rad small rad. When I rebuilt the engine I stayed with origional radiator, but as we know they are marginal at best. So I bought the one of the S3 ally replicas for sale on ebay and fitted it. Car runs a constant 75 deg C and looks the part (origional radiator in loft)
Engine is meant to do this for clearance of radiator filler cap. Strombergs should be level.
I converted to alternator and modified regulator box so car has origional look and its also the origional look. Can be switched back by fitting new box. If I keep car I will get one of the origional generators that has been converted to an alternator (cant remember name of company at the moment)
Yes its the one on piston heads, that said I don't know if I want to really sell it. Last year 40 miles MOT to MOT and the year before 343 miles MOT to MOT.
But had it out this afternoon goes like stink.... I'm keeping it. )))

Lovely job Mark, the reg looks vaguely familiar, so I do think it was the one I used to see in Keswick with the "very old" lady in the passenger seat.
I wanted a Lagoon Blue one but finished up with Yellow; maybe I should have two?

Elansprint71,
I remember the Sprint in Keswick. We stayed in a B&B near there years back when I was a kid. We were woken one morning by a twin cam and thought my Dads +2 was being stolen. Turned out it was the owner of the blue Sprint who lived next door! We saw the car regularly over 10 years or so, but think its gone now.
