now that the motor and tranny are on the floor I am wondering if it may have been easier on the rubber trans mount to have undone the single bolt while the mount was free and remove the unit with out the mount in place????ideas??? ed

Nearly all of my experience has been with the +2. However I have never had any problem with removal or installation of the engine and gearbox as a unit with the gearbox mount in place. Did you have problems with the mount fouling anything?
