Identification Problems

I am currently restoring a Lotus Elan for a friend, whom had told me it was a S2. I hadn't had any problems until just a couple of days ago when i started work on the wiring loom, it had electric windows etc. which are not standard on the S2(i presume). A quick look at the VIN and i came to the conclusion that it isnt a S2 but rather a S4. So i would like to double check with you experts because i have to order some parts and it would be nice to know what type im working on. I've done some research and have come up with this so far: VIN-7103050299G
Lotus Elan S4 DHC Mar '71
I would like to know if this information is correct and is it a sprint and if so how can i tell?
Thanks,
Tim

This should help you, also do a search through the old posts as there is a lot of information on Sprint identification in prevous threads.
