I Need Help

PostPost by: anne » Mon Oct 13, 2003 8:58 am

I am looking to buy a manual for my husband elan. I am not sure which is the correct one. The car is 1970 Lotus Elan 4 Sprint but the manual I can see on this web site is a Elan S4. Is this the same thing.

The differences between an S4 and a Sprint are very small. If the only version of the manual you can get a copy of only goes up to the S4 and does not cover the later Sprint model I would still get it as it will cover 99% of the infomration you need and any missing bits you can easily get filled in via these forums.

I bought one from eBay.co.uk for about ?20. They often seem to have original Lotus Elan manuals at 'sensible' prices. I don't think a few oily finger prints really matter

I have a original workshop manual for a 1973 Sprint. Part number X036 T 0327Z. Email me. It was a present to go with the car. It has no oliy finger marks. It has sat in our cupboard for 29 years. I didn't fix it - I took it to Bell and Colvill.
