Rotoflex checking a good idea

Greetings group:

Seems about once a year I post a rueful reminder to all. Last time it was
check your transmission oil levels (or lose your gear set, as I did).

This time it is to suggest that at the start of the driving season, give
your Rotoflexes a good looking over (or have an axle shaft flailing about,
as I did a week ago). Fortunately, it let go on a first gear acceleration,
with fairly low road speed on the wheels. Shudder to think about what would
have happened if it let go at Interstate speeds! If there is any interest I
have digital photos of the resulting mess. It's great motivation to start
saving for the CV joint setup!

Check that tranny! Scrutiinize those doughnuts! Then, go enjoy your high
performance machine.

Kind regards,

Ray Jang

I actually built my own very low cost system to contain a flailing half
shaft. I hope to find time to patent it. It worked so good that I drove the
car home about 30 miles after I snapped one of the 6 bolts on one donut!
(Coupling was still good).
