S3 Interior lights

PostPost by: ardee_selby » Mon Sep 23, 2002 9:27 am

My '67 coupe has 3 identical interior lights, with the dash mounted
one operated by a dash switch. Is this the norm, or do some use a
dash light with it's own switch? (as used on Rover P5 & P5B)

My 67 S3 coupe (built in 1966) has 3 lights. The 2 in the back have no switch. The one on the dash has an integral switch and there is no dash switch.

and skinny ]. They are all controlled together by the dash switch
and the door switches-

Can anybody give us an up to date product number for these light
fitments and are they available.

And just as a side issue about lights. My car has the clip on parking
light giving white to front and red to rear which went on the drivers door
glass when you left the car. Anybody remember those? They were all
the rage in London in the late 60's.

It was probably purchased at the same time you could get a tiger in
your tank tail and a gallon of four star was 1 and 6pence!

And don't forget the GREEN SHEILD STAMPS!

You know if somebody started making those things (tiger tails) again
they would probably sell to all the classic car owners!

happy days...yeh, yeh, yeh

I have a brand new switched Interior lamp. It is in the original Lotus
blister packaging and the part no. is X036M6048W.

I have a +2 and do not think it is used on the +2.
