Are they 100% U/J or are they the half donut half U/V type?

Brian (it's still Thursday here, you're up early!)
The Spyder shafts have a VAG CV joint at the wheel and a donut at the
diff. The donut is held in compression by something called an
anti-surge cup which means the driveshafts can be used with an LSD.
The donut serves to cushion vibration and form a flexible inboard
joint. I use the competition version in an uprated road car (S4/SE)
and I think they are excellent. I have run 3 Elans since '76 and can
honestly say this is a worthwhile (invisible and undo-able)
conversion. It also makes removing and refitting much easier.
After 20 K miles the donut still looks like new, I recently had all
the back end apart and the donuts are showing no signs of coming
apart.

I think they were about ?550 including VAT. The
non-competion driveshafts were a little cheaper.
