Trim clips

Hi,

Which way up do the trim clips which hold the horizontal trim below the
doors on the +2 go?

The "curve" at the top or the bottom?

I removed my original one's before painting........

Curve to bottom

set trim across upper tips; smash with rubber hammer to make it pop onto the lower rounded part. Just like the factory.

I made nylon buttons cause I wanted my trim sorta straight

The pointy ends face up. When you fit the trim back on make sure the angled
edge is at the top with, obviously, the rounded edge goes to the bottom.
Fit the trim in place at the toop then press in and downwards and the trim
should just pop into place. Just did this job last weekend! You'll also
need 3mm pop rivets to hold the clips on.

Thanks for your comments. I greased the top and bottom of the clips, hooked
the trim onto the clips at the top and gently tapped on the top edge with a
wooden dowel and hammer. This forced the trim into location and a very light
tap at the bottom clipped it into place.

No dents, damaged paintwork or swearing!

the best technique to do a job after you have completed it!
