Elan bonnet foam rubber strip

PostPost by: marcfuller » Tue Apr 12, 2005 8:26 am

Can anyone provide the dimensions and shape (is it square or trapezoidal or
...) for the strip of foam rubber that is attached to the firewall for the
trailing edge of the bonnet to rest upon when closed? And what color was
it originally?

Thanks in advance!

I specifically recall that on mine it was triangular shaped in cross section, about one inch wide on the sides.

I use a strip of self stick foam insulation, which comes in different
widths and also in black and white. It does the job. Available at
hardware stores.

I bought the strip from J P Sportscars. It is 2x2cm and 75cm long. The
colour is light grey, but I don't know, if that is original colour.
