I now have my chassis stripped of all parts & am looking at the
possibility of having it galvanized. Has anyone ever had this done?
Any information about processes & proceedures would be appreciated.

zinc electroplating maybe but hot dip galvanizing I would not try. The heat involved may distort the chassis due to heat stress build up plus hot dipping is a thick(ish) liquid that can build up in places on the chassis where you don't want it- pluis the extra weight , of course. the liquid also form horrible drips that has to be carefully removed

If you're in the U.S., check over on the Europa site; there are a few
who have done this, with hot-dip, without any ill effects. It's in the
archives, maybe a year back.
