thoughts please....FHC market values....FHC wanted

Could you guys help me........a new member of CLOG (Cheshire lotus
owners group) who had a +2 but at present has an MG is looking to buy an
S4 or S3 FHC.......what is the current rate for a 'sorted' car.....
He has found a 1968 S3 on
http://www.uksportscars.com/sales___stock.html and was wondering if
?12995 was a bit OTT.......I thought that the FHC was rather more
unloved compared with the DHC...although that statement has probably
just meant that the FHC owners on the site are now not my
friends.....however it is a well known fact that in similar conditions
the DHC will make more money........the question is....is ?12995 to much
to pay for a sorted FHC in the UK......and if so....what is the
consensus of opinion as to price....and finally...does anyone know
anyone wanting to sell a FHC in the UK?

Does that mean you think like I do that the price of a FHC should be
cheaper than that??.....can you explain??

I was very suprised by the prices of the Elans on UK sports cars website.
Either prices have shot up for Elans or they have all the best Elans that
are for sale in the country.
I personally would think about what time of year it is before buying a
sports car.
Stoneleigh lotus show has just gone so people will have bought cars at the
show also people will be getting rid of their summer cars so more Elans come
onto the market.
Christmas is coming so the dealer will be suffering as people spend on
presents instead of cars.
If is has been an expensive christmas the dealer will need to sell a few
cars quickly.
I personally would be in no rush to buy a car. Shop around and make them an
offer.
I bought my FHC sprint in february and saved ?1000 on the screen price.
