68 Mini van from down under
67 Minimatic convertable, modified
66 Mini van

winter sets in
73 JPS Europa, apart waiting time to reassemble
85 Turbo Esprit, need to finish some wiring and interior assembly

For sale:

Steve,

Well I have 3 1/2 Elans one of which (1964 S1) is driven about 10% of
the time. The rest of the collection is:

1990 Mazda Miata (50%)... great car and bulletproof, but not an Elan
2004 Corvette Z06 (25%)... about 5% of that on the track
1998 Ford Crown Victoria (10%)... sometimes we need a sedan (saloon)
1981 Chevrolet Suburban (5%)... towing and hauling

What am I going to do which the other Elans (1964 S1, 1966 S2 DHC and a
1963 S1 not complete)? I'm not sure just yet but the running Elan will
get more use as I get to more items on its list... such as, making the
headlights work, installing the top (hood), renewing the upholstery (new
unborn gila monster hide?). The others will remain complete cars and
will not be parts providers for the running car.

Glad you're enjoying you're Elan. We all know the feeling well.

My fleet at present:

'91 VW GTI - Great car, 245K miles - currently out of service with broken
5th gear.
'85 Mercury Grand Marquis - A better car than I expected, but thirsty, and BIG
'59 Sprite - Lots of fun, gets more smiles and waves than even the Elan.
'65 Elan S2 - Wonderful car, should have bought one decades ago!

Just come back from a quick blast around the local lanes. Wow that was
fun. I have only owned an Elan for just under a year and only now I am
starting to get really confident at throwing it round corners. I just
have difficulty in believing that it goes round at such high speeds.
Those skinny little economy tyres should slide all over the place. I
keep thinking this car is 35 years old but the performance levels are
bang up to date. No surprise that the reviewers of the time were so
impressed.

I know there are a few die hards out there that use their Elan every day
.... For those of us that have other cars I would be interested to know
what else you all drive?

I have:
Lotus Elan S4 SE dhc
Alfa Romeo 147
Smart Pulse Coupe

1968 Elan S4 SE DHC
199? Honda Civic (for shopping)
1993/4? Yamaha FZR1000RU for the daily grind to and from work (I never
exceed 125mph)

PS. Now that I have a daughter christened Kate Elise Adamson, I am
looking for a suitable stablemate for the Elan.
Any suggestions?

Paul Adamson.

PS. The Civic has had a new set of Avon tyres this week and they are -
good.
Does anyone know if they do 155/70T13?

Well, back to replacing my broken diff stub axle so my one running Elan is really running again.

Does the Capri have any racing history. In Europe I ran against them in
Group 1 in my Vauxhall Firenza. Damn quick they are.

Takes driving all the "junk" that allows us to really enjoy and appreciate
the Elan! :)

BTW, do realise that I'm not the only one who "rotates" cars. 32, not
'married' and really enjoying myself!

'59 Austin Healey Sprite (Bugeye)Mk 1 (dad's for the last 40 years! And
receiving new springs from Kerry - Bugeye Barn this week....)
'60 Fiat 500
'65 Alfa Gulia GT Sprint
'66 Honda S600 (lots of much needed tech advice from Honda S800 Club, UK.
Really liked that issue of Classic Cars that compared the Elan and Honda)
'66 Triumph GT6 Mk 1
'68 Morris Cooper Mk 2

'74 Europa TC
'73 Elan Sprint
'74 Elan +2 S130/5 (truly reliable cars with good support from this
group, Clive - Paul Matty and Steve - Elan Factory, Aus)

Forgot to mention (yes, it happens... )
1965 Singer Chamois Mk 2 (still waiting for parts from Brian Bradshaw of
Impwerks, NZ! Think the Europa TC owners are bidding more for parts...
sigh.)
1964 Mini Moke
1980 BMW R100 RS
1970 Track Datsun B110 (one of 8 Advan built race cars)

Plus a few more "scoobydoos", too ashamed to mention.... ha ha!

Cheers,
Brian (it never snows in these parts!)

Roger, you have way too many cars (unless you're trying to catch Jay Leno).
How do you keep track of them all - and drive them regularly? I can't even
get my Elan restored.
